Job Description:

At Airbus, quality is at the heart of everything we fly. We are looking for a Program Quality Engineer to oversee the development of our Quality Management System and Material Review Board (MRB) processes. In this role, you will leverage SAP data analytics, Lean methodologies, and RCCA strategies to eliminate defects and streamline our manufacturing processes. From coordinating with the FAA to influencing senior leadership through KPI reporting, you will be the compelling force behind our operational success.

Your Working Environment:

On the eastern border of Mississippi you’ll find Columbus, home to our Helicopter manufacturing and assembly lines and Center of Excellence for the entire North America region. It’s here that we produce the UH-72A Lakota Helicopters for the U.S. Army in addition to the H-125 aircraft for civil and commercial customers.

Your Challenges:

Quality Management System Support: 60%

Analyze non-conformities and initiate appropriate corrective actions to avoid recurrence.
Define and improve the Quality processes within the AHI by identifying Cost of Non-Quality drivers and improving processes in order to reduce defects.
Generate Key Performance Indicator reports using SAP and other related tools to measure Quality performance and communicate to senior leadership.
Participate in the Material Review Board to ensure timely correction of Non-conformities
Support inspection personnel when issues arise in order to determine root cause and corrective action.
Review, develop, and analyze dashboards and visual management tools to identify deficiencies in the quality system
Compile and analyze statistical data for non-conformities, Key Performance Indicators and other quality department metrics to identify trends, problem areas and give feedback to implement appropriate corrective actions to prevent recurrence and improve the quality management system
Monitor digital platform for collection and archiving reports for FOD, housekeeping, tool inventories, lost tools and lost item
Support Inspection personnel on SAP / Nonconformity Management (NCM) data analysis and quality implementation processes and issues that arise due to discrepancies
Create, Review and update company manuals, policies, procedures and forms to improve and streamline company processes
