Overview

Gene Messer Kia is part of the fast growing Group 1 Automotive, a leader in automotive retail.  We are looking to add a qualified SERVICE DEPARTMENT ADMIN/JUNIOR SERVICE ADVISOR to our team.

Responsibilities

 
  • File and maintain repair orders according to respective manufacturers’ specifications
  • Acts as backup to receptionist/cashier
  • Warranty booking
  • Provides clerical and administrative assistance to departments as needed
  • Must be organized and able to multitask
  • Greet and welcome service customers in a genuinely friendly and courteous manner
  • Handle customer follow-up calls and letters to maintain customer satisfaction
  • Delivery inter-office items to accounting, corporate offices, sales department, parts department, collision center
  • Update the customer’s service history file according to the procedures specific to the department’s service history system
  • File repair orders as directed by service department management
  • Other duties as assigned by manager

Qualifications

  • Automotive experience is a preferred.
  • Proficient at operating a personal computer including Microsoft Office: E-mail, Excel and Word.
  • Outstanding communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Self-starter and self-motivated.
  • Ability to work well in a process-driven environment.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
  • Great attitude with high-energy personality.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Professional appearance and work ethic.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver license in the state that you will work and a good driving record
