SUMMARY: 

We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and well-organized Supply Chain Leader to join a fast-paced, growing Tech Ops Organization. Reporting to the Head of Technical Operations, this position is responsible for build out and day to day leadership of the Pierre Fabre US Supply Chain department.  Responsibilities include Production Planning, Vendor Relationships and Contracting, Raw Material and Finished Goods Inventory Management, and Distribution operations. Additionally, this role is responsible for leading supply chain commercial readiness all in accordance with current good manufacturing practices (cGMP) and industry best practices for cell therapies.   The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of materials for our cell therapy manufacturing processes. This role will play a crucial part in optimizing inventory management, supplier relationships, production planning, and ensure on-time delivery to patients. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and implement the supply chain strategy aligned with company goals and objectives.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness across the supply chain.
  • Supply Chain Operations:
    • Manage end-to-end supply chain activities from raw material procurement to distribution of finished products.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers, 3PL, and contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs).
  • Inventory Management:
    • Develop and implement inventory strategies to ensure optimal levels while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
    • Implement robust inventory tracking and forecasting systems.
    • Responsibility for safety of inventory during storage and transport.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards related to supply chain operations.
  • Collaboration:
    • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, and Commercial Operations.
    • Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve supply chain processes and resolve issues proactively.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify potential risks within the supply chain and develop mitigation plans to minimize disruptions.
  • Performance Metrics:
    • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supply chain performance and drive improvements.

Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Well organized, close attention to details with a right first-time orientation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and levels of the organization.
  • Strong business acumen and financial literacy.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field required MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years Supply Chain experience, within the biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical industry, experience in cell therapy preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years in management / leadership positions
  • Six Sigma/ Lean / OpEx and/or APICs certificate preferred.
  • Supplier Relationship and Material Risk Management/experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Experienced in contract negotiating with vendors.

LOCATION/TRAVEL: Remote with some travel (~25%).   Periodic travel to NJ office and vendor/distribution sites.  Occasional travel to other company sites and external meetings as needed.
