Denver Public Library operates across multiple branches, and to meet evolving operational needs, employees may be assigned to work at different locations. This flexibility helps us best serve our customers and optimize our resources.

About Our Location

The Blair-Caldwell African American Research Library Branch is located near downtown and provides a variety of services to the community. Highlighting the history of African Americans in the West, Blair-Caldwell is a valued community resource and serves a diverse population. The three floors of this library provide visitors with a unique cultural experience, allowing all to learn about and celebrate the Five Points community. Training will be held at our Central Library for the first week of employment (Sunday-Thursday).

About Our Position

DPL is hiring two Security Officer II to help create positive experiences for library customers by maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and staff. You'll receive on the job training to develop skills and abilities related to the position, including certification in First Aid, CPR and in the usage of an AED, Narcan usage, defensive tactics and verbal de-escalation training. 

What You Would Do

  • Solid customer service background and is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment to everyone who uses the library.
