BNA - Bobst North America Apply now As an Installation Project Leader (IPL) for Label, you will oversee and manage installation projects for new machinery at Bobst North America's customer sites. From the receipt of an order to final acceptance, you will ensure a seamless process by addressing technical, organizational, logistical, and administrative aspects of each project.While collaborating closely with sales, technical support, and customer teams, you will act as the central point of reference for the past, present, and future progress of each assigned project. This role requires both proactive and reactive travel, domestically and abroad, based on project needs. Key responsibilities:
Management of installations of our Label Products at our customers:
Before intervention:
- Inquire about the content and specifics of customer orders in collaboration with our sales forces.
- Read the sales contract, understand the clauses and issues in order to deploy actions necessary to fulfill the conditions.
- Coordinate the project between the different partners
- Define and validate the profile of technicians based on the products to be installed in conjunction with the “Field Service” Manager".
- Inform and ensure a good understanding of the objectives of the technicians' missions
- Anticipate crisis situations.
- Travel proactively and reactively to markets when the situation requires, to visit our local entities, agents and/or clients
- Establish the installation budget and monitor the costs allocated to the OTPs dedicated to the installation project.
- Prepare and supervise the equipment installation site at the customer's site either directly or in supervising delegated activities in the markets.
- Ensure production starts in accordance with sales conditions.
- Ensure the quality of our databases (status, delivery date and commissioning date as well as the “Snag List”).
- Know the requirements for acceptance of the machine by the customer and implement these in order to obtain signature as soon as possible for the installation and acceptance certificate.
- Define and monitor the installation schedule in accordance with logistical, technical requirements and constraints of our customers.
- Support our technicians in a professional and respectful manner by providing assistance and advice.
- Measure progress and possible deviations in order to take the necessary actions to guarantee the deadlines, costs and quality of installations.
- Know and regularly report the progress, problems encountered and resolution deadlines to his line manager and through “Customer Project Management”
- Warranty costs are validated before acceptance and after acceptance respectively by the “Customer Project Management”
- Actively monitor open issues and make every effort to ensure their rapid resolution.
- Ensure that operators and maintenance personnel have received appropriate training.
- Delegate and monitor the resolution of technical issues to technical support teams.
- Notify technical support of the acceptance of the machine and the closure of the project with explanations on its progress or possible remainders if applicable.
- Carry out the assessment upon return, request and control the documents necessary for processing missions (report installation, technical intervention report, time sheet)
- Organize post-acceptance visits.
- Close the project and close the installation project OTPs.
- Mechanical or electrical Engineer with experience in the installation of industrial equipment
- Technical project management or professional experience within an after-sales service in the installation of industrial machines
- MSOffice, SAP, MS Project or equivalent
- Assertive personality, capable of maintaining courteous but demanding relationships with clients, colleagues or collaborators.
- Ability to relate to others and create a climate of trust.
- Effective communicator, with a positive mindset constantly looking for the best solution.
- Methodical, organized, autonomous but knowing how to delegate and capable of making decisions.
- Pragmatic and proactive in being open and customer oriented.
- Dynamic, flexible, available for schedules adapted to clients.
- Ability to resist stress and managing several projects simultaneously.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
