Job Description

Role Overview

The Student Enrollment and Data Team is focused on ensuring that schools are fully enrolled so that students are free to create the future they want for themselves and their communities.  The team supports this vision through application acquisition, family onboarding, cultivation, and persistence.  The Regional Specialist, Attendance and PEIMS will assist the Regional Director with collection and auditing of school level data for state and federal reporting for their respective region. Additionally, this role is responsible for participating in regional activities that require compliance review such as academic calendaring, course cataloging, attendance monitoring, master scheduling, and PEIMS coding monitoring.  The Regional Specialist, Attendance and PEIMS will report to the Regional Director, Attendance and PEIMS. 

 

Key Responsibilities

Auditing

  • Monitor respective region campuses compliance for fulling Records request for DAL/AUS/SAN in a timely manner.

  • Monitor and assist with campus PEIMS coding errors by conducting audits for data accuracy.  

  • Assist in verifying data submitted to the Regional Director of PEIMS. 

  • Assist in running reports and verification checks to ensure accurate data.

  • Monitor cumulative files for all campuses in their regions. 

  • Communicate data discrepancies to respective campuses for review and corrections. 

  • Conduct Audits in the following areas for DAL Region; once a semester

    • Leavers/Withdrawals

    • PK Eligibility

    • Enrollment 

    • Attendance

    • MCKinney Vento

    • Emergent Bilingual

Reporting

  • Support Regional Director by ensuring deadlines are adhered to and work cooperatively with campus office staff to collect, organize, and format data required to submit district PEIMS data in a timely manner.

  • Compile, maintain, and file physical and computerized reports, records, and documents required.

Training

  • Deliver training and workflow documentation to school-based staff responsible for supporting data collection with a strong focus on high quality customer service and satisfaction.

  • Provide onsite training for new Attendance and PEIMS Specialists.

Other

  • Works closely with the Regional Director to resolve Zendesk support tickets as it relates to PEIMS and student data. 

  • Assist special population programs to assure the maximization of school funds generated via PEIMS.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or other administrator that are consistent with the general requirements and qualifications for the position.
