Job Summary
Summary<br>Responsible for performing vascular ultrasound examinations on patients. This includes preparing patients for exams, operating ultrasound equipment, and interpreting ultrasound images.<br><br>Does this position require Patient Care?<br>Yes<br><br>Essential Functions<br>-Prepare patients for vascular ultrasound exams by explaining procedures, positioning patients, and applying gel to the skin. <br>-Operate ultrasound equipment, such as transducers and monitors, to produce images of blood vessels. <br>
-Interpret ultrasound images to identify vascular abnormalities. <br>
-Document exam findings in the patient's medical record. <br>
-Communicate with physicians and other healthcare providers about exam findings. <br>

Education
Associate's Degree Radiologic Technology required

Licenses and Credentials
Sonographer [State License] - Generic - HR Only preferred Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer [RDMS] - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) preferred Registered Vascular Technologist [RVT] - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) preferred Certified Sonographer - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) preferred
Experience
Prior experience working in a similar role 2-3 years required
