Ecommerce/VAS Manager - MADC

SUMMARY:

Plans, directs and coordinates the activities of the Ecommerce Shipping and VAS/Rework Operations associated with the inventory flow, VAS/Rework activities, picking/packing, and shipping customer orders. Lead, motivate and communicate with employees. Must be willing to accept Renfro’s purpose and management philosophy and to fulfill the management leadership role according to Renfro’s purposes and philosophy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Active participation in facility Safety Program, and ensuring work areas and processes support safe operations for employees
• Ship Customer’s orders in accordance with On-Time & In-Full expectations, maintaining a reliable inventory control system and inventory records
• Direct the planning and assigning of work for the most efficient use of personnel and equipment
• Devise methods and procedures ensuring the most efficient and economical movement of goods in and out of the VAS/Rework Area
• Maintain Target Inventory Levels through VAS operations
• Work closely with Supply Chain Planning on Ecommerce initiatives, including SKU counts, growth initiatives, Forecasts/Seasonal volume projections
• Work with Brand Teams on consumer-facing packaging options
• Work closely with Supply Chain Planning & Distribution Center Manager on Rework Forecasts/Seasonal volume projections
• Partner with Distribution Center Manager and Engineering Dept. to identify and implement process improvements
• Operate within Engineered costs and approved budgets
• Responsible for hiring, termination, administering company policy, setting performance goals of employees
• Process or review claims against carriers for shipping losses or damage in transit
• Responsible for quality performance, work area organization, accuracy of orders, on time delivery and accurate data entry
• Analyze and evaluate inventory and delivery problems and recommend solutions
• Keep informed on current transportation methods and rates to assure economical and efficient customer delivery service
• Recommend new packing methods or types and designs of shipping containers to promote maximum utilization of space and the lowest possible transportation rate classification
• Responsible for verifying and approving Labor Invoices
• Responsible for daily/weekly/monthly tracking/operational reports
• May require the physical movement of inventory by use of pallet jack or fork truck
• Major responsibilities will include:
