ECHO Equipment Maintenance Technician (Nights)

Job Description:
The technician will be responsible for performing scheduled/unscheduled maintenance on manufacturing tools in the ECHO area. Broad knowledge of equipment across all disciplines is preferred (LPCVD, Metals, Etch, Photo, and Backgrind). The candidate must work closely with manufacturing, Equipment Engineering, and Process Engineering to understand and correct any issues within EPM. It is important that the candidate display the following behaviors: attention to detail, methodical decision-making/troubleshooting skills, teamwork, and workplace organization. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal are also a requirement. Candidate must be able to work independently with minimal direction once trained, and accomplish all duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
Obtain working knowledge of ECHO tool sets to perform required maintenance as specified. Understand and incorporate safe work practices, adherence to specifications and checklists, as well as 5S methodology. The candidate will perform documented maintenance procedures in support of the tools such as, but not limited to, ASM LPCVD, Ultratech Steppers, Tel coaters, Disco Grinders, SEZ etchers, Bold Hoods, Reflow furnaces, Tegal etchers, Matrix etchers, SAT etchers and hoods, Suss coaters and aligners, Applied Enduras, Oerlikon Clusterline Metal Dep, and multiple metrology tools.
** Higher or lower grades may be assigned based on qualifications.
Requirements:
5+ years experience in a wafer fab manufacturing environment. Must have a strong background in semiconductor equipment maintenance. Education or experience related to electromechanical. AA Technical Degree or higher preferred. Understanding of Lean Manufacturing Fundamentals and ConceptsShift:
Sunday – Tuesday and every other Saturday from 5 p.m. to 5 a.m. The short week is 34.5 hours and the long week is 46 hours, with 6 hours of overtime built into the schedule.More information about NXP in the United States...
