An ideal candidate for this seat is someone comfortable working with tools, interested in creating devices out of plastic and metal based on the build-sheet filled out by the clinician. This person will be in a lab with glues, chemicals, thermoforming hot plastic over casts, etc.Summary
Provides technical support to the orthotic staff and fabricates, repairs and maintains orthoses. This includes assessment of orthotic technical requirements, formulation and implementation of fabrication, as well as follow-up and practice management.Job Description
Proficient with current fabricating techniques, familiar with material properties and skilled in the use of appropriate equipment. Supports and conforms to professional responsibilities that promote and assure the overall welfare of the client. Attends training to gain knowledge and skills used in the Orthotic Technician role.Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience preferred.
Possession of a valid Class D driver’s license and maintaining a good driving record is preferred.
