Position Summary:

Join the Factory6 team as a Production Line Worker and take part in a flexible, shift-based work system—similar to the BACON app—where you sign up for available shifts that fit your schedule. This entry-level role supports production leads and machine operators by performing essential tasks across multiple production lines.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

None


Orientation

All candidates must attend a paid orientation (2 hours at $16/hour) before starting work.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Loads and unloads items from machines, conveyors, and conveyor systems.

- Assists production operators.

- Places products on equipment or work surfaces for processing, inspection, or packaging.

- Inspects products for conformance to standards.

- Observes equipment operation for malfunctions and notifies operators if found.

- Manually lifts raw materials, finished goods, and packaged items by hand or hoists.

- Adds desiccants, reapplies labels, and counts items for placement in bottles or bags.

- Maintains good manufacturing practices.

- Transfers finished products, raw materials, tools, or equipment between storage and work areas in plants and warehouses, by hand or with hand carts or forklifts. - Packs and stores materials and products.

- Counts finished products to determine if orders are complete.

- Separates products according to weight, quality, size, or composition of materials used.

- Pours materials, such as prepared ingredients, into machine hoppers before mixing.

- Bundles products into packages for processing or shipping, following established procedures.

- Records information, such as quantity of products tested, meter readings, or production dates and times.

- Prepares raw materials for processing.

- Cleans work areas, machines, equipment, or products.

- Follows instructions from line leaders or supervisors as required.

- Packs finished products for storage, shipping, or distribution, ensuring correct labeling and documentation.

- Prepares materials for shipping, such as boxes, crates, or pallets, and assists with loading and unloading as needed.

- Complies with safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, or incidents in the workplace.

- Wears appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follows safety guidelines when handling hazardous materials or operating machinery.

- Keeps work area clean and organized by sweeping, mopping, or removing debris and waste.

- Performs routine cleaning and maintenance tasks on equipment, tools, and workstations to ensure optimum performance and prolong their useful life.

- Performs other related duties as assigned.
