As a Medical Assistant or LPN within East Central Public Health District, you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways.

Salary: Medical Assistant $35,000  LPN $42,000

Examples of duties

Medical Assistant:
Under direct supervision, performs administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction 
of the provider on duty. 
Handles front office duties which include 
scheduling appointments,  
maintaining medical records, 
billing and coding for insurance purposes. 
Assists in the clinic by 
taking and recording  vital signs 
and charting medical history, 
providing TB or DOT services, 
ordering supplies,  
preparing patients for examination 
and collect blood or other laboratory specimens. 
Cleaning and  sterilizing instruments 
and dispose of contaminated supplies.

LPN:
Under direct supervision, and preform clinical duties under the direction of the provider on duty. 
Provide immunization services, 
run reports, 
managing inventory, 
participating in audits, 
ordering  supplies, 
collect blood or other laboratory specimens, 
cleaning/ sterilizing instruments, 
dispose  of contaminated supplies, 
vital signs, 
charting medical history, 
providing TB and DOT services,
 and  servicing as back up to medical assistants.
