About the role
MAJOR FUNCTION:
Provides administrative support to the Medical Staff Offices, including performing clerical duties, attending Departmental, Committee and Clinical meetings, coordinating medical staff activities, maintaining medical staff files, and providing support relating to credentialing of initial appointments, reappointments, and tracking of numerous expirable.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience:
- High School Graduate or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 3 years’ office experience in a healthcare setting is required.
- Credentialing and meeting management experience including minute taking is preferred.
- Must possess excellent word processing/ database management and effective written and oral communication skills, strong organizational skills, ability to handle multiple priorities to meet constant deadlines, and ability to work independently while displaying knowledge of commonly used credentialing concepts, practices and procedures.
- Must be detail oriented, and highly self-motivated to identify areas that need investigation and resolution.
- Effective communication with providers and others within the organization is essential.
- Must be willing to travel to multiple campuses and flex schedule as needed.
Certification/Licensure:
- CPCS or CPMSM preferred
