We're looking for an experienced Principal Software Engineer to join our Identity and Access Management team. 

Identity is the new security perimeter!  Come help manage digital risk by applying security through identity integration and controls.  In the constantly changing risk landscape, identity needs to be verified constantly, and access controls need to be adapted with the changing risks associated with the identity. As part of the Identity Access & Management team, you will build the new intelligence engine that continuously monitors risks associated with identity compromise and adapts the access granted for that identity.

 Reporting to the Sr. Director, Engineering you'll be responsible for:

• You will participate in the design and implementation of Adaptive Access Engine
• Be a great teammate and help us maintain our positive culture
• Collaborate across teams to deliver projects from inception to production
• Build and scale identity signal ingestion from different internal and third party identity sources like crowdstrike, microsoft defender, okta, etc
• Build data models using the signals to correlate risks associated with users and devices which will be used in access policy to grant or revoke access to sensitive applications
• Build scalable data pipelines and risk models using the data

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications) 

• 10+ years of software development experience in large-scale enterprise software
• BS/MS degree (Engineering, Computer Science)
• Expert-level technical knowledge: Enterprise Java, OOP, OOA, systems architecture and RESTful APIs, and related frameworks ( e.g. Hibernate, Spring). CI/CD (tools and processes)
• Experience in writing code with Probabilistic Data Structures like Bloom filter, Hyperlog, cuckoo filter
• Experience working with big data, data pipelines, and data analytics

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Knowledge about Docker/Kubernetes and container infrastructure would be a plus

Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.

Base Pay Range$175,000—$250,000 USD
