Your New Role…

CNN is seeking a Senior Manager of Streaming Analytics who will be instrumental in the launch and success of our upcoming digital streaming initiatives. This individual should be self-motivated, work well independently and as part of a team, and be passionate about what they do. They will be responsible for overseeing the growth and health of subscribers to these new services. The Senior Manager will be a core member of the data analytics team and report to the Director of Growth Analytics.

Your Role Accountabilities...

The Senior Manager of Streaming Analytics will

• Support the growth of streaming products and produce best-in-class insights with tangible opportunities for the business to act on.
• Manage a small team of growth product analysts to partner with cross-functional leaders in the streaming space.
• Proactively develop the streaming analytics roadmap with stakeholders to best balance short- and long-term opportunities around metrics such as net subscribers, churn, and conversion rates.
• Partner with other analytics teams to provide a holistic view of CNN for leadership.

Qualifications & Experience...

• 5+ years in growth or product analytics working as a lead or senior contributor.
• Strong working knowledge of digital and product analytics: funnels, cohorts, AB testing, OKR development and tracking.
• Demonstrated experience partnering directly with cross-functional leaders, particularly in product and growth contexts.
• Strong interpersonal written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver complex messages to diverse audiences.
• Strong track record of proactively identifying and formalizing high impact AB tests with partners.
• Expertise in using SQL to explore and analyze large data sets.
• Experience with BI tools (e.g. Looker, Domo, Tableau, etc.).

• A self-starter who is passionate about getting data, using data, making sense of data, and helping others benefit from making analytics driven decisions

Nice-to-Haves

• BA/BS degree or higher in Math, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Operations Research, Computer Science, Engineering, or other related quantitative field
• Industry knowledge of digital streaming services and how to approach them with an analytical lens strongly preferred.
• Experience with digital news or relevant digital analytics experience plus strong interest in news.
• Experience building and leading a small team of analysts.
• Experience with data science programming languages like Python and R.
