Scaled Composites has an opening for either a Level 2 Financial Analyst or a Level 3 Financial Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals!

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our Program Management team. This individual will play a key role in driving financial planning, analysis, and reporting in support of both internal leadership and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings a strong analytical mindset and a passion for the aerospace industry, contributing meaningfully to our mission of innovation and exploration.

Duties and Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Financial Planning and Analysis: Leading the budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling processes, providing valuable insights and recommendations.
• Cost Analysis: Analyzing and monitoring costs, identifying opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
• Financial Reporting: Preparing and presenting financial reports to senior management, summarizing key findings and trends.
• Variance Analysis: Investigating and explaining variances between actual and budgeted/forecasted financial results.
• Strategic Support: Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support strategic decision-making by providing financial analysis and insights.
• Risk Management: Assessing financial risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.
• Ad hoc Analysis: Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as required.

Basic Qualifications for Financial Analyst Level 2:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and 2+ years of experience in program/project control, financial analysis, or business management within a technical or aerospace/defense environment or, 1 year of experience with a masters.
• Proven ability to prepare accurate and timely financial reports and analyses.
• Experience developing budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support decision-making.
• Demonstrated skill in identifying cost-saving opportunities and contributing to process improvements.
• Proficient in variance analysis and delivering clear, actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in support of business goals.
• Familiarity with financial risk identification and basic mitigation strategies.
• Experience supporting deliverables related to Annual Operating Plans (AOP), Long-Range Strategic Plans (LRSP), or performance-based award planning.

Basic Qualifications for Financial Analyst Level 3:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and 4+ years of experience in managing financial and schedule performance of complex programs in a technical or aerospace/defense environment or, 3 years of experience with a masters
• Advanced proficiency in delivering high-quality, timely financial reports and in-depth analyses for leadership.
• Extensive experience building and refining complex financial models, forecasts, and budgets to guide executive-level decisions.
