For our plant in Manor, TX we are looking for a 

Quality Liaison

 

Quality Liaison Essential Functions/Duties:

 

  • It is the responsibility of the Quality Liaison to act as the main quality interface between the Customer and HBPO for our Just-In-Time production environment.  
  • Provide support needed to address Customer quality issues and Customer trials. 
  • Act as the Customer voice to HBPO regarding quality issues. 
  • Define Customer requirements communicate with the plant and develop benchmarking activities that will support us in exceeding the Customer’s expectations. 
  • Support Product launches. 
  • Has the responsibility and authority to ensure that the QMS conforms to the requirements of ISO 9001:2015, and IATF 16949:2016, as well as customer requirements.  
  • Develop and maintain Customer Liaison activities with DCX personnel and corporate staff. 
  • Maintain positive relations. 
  • Prepare daily / weekly concern and non-conformance reports. 
  • Assist the quality department in 8D activity. 
  • Carrying out contention and establishing clean points before notification of customer claims is in place. 
  • Monitor and Control Change Management and CN’s.
  • Perform LPAs as assigned.
  • Assist the LO Department when needed (expedites). 
  • End of shift report/electronic distribution.
  • Maintain an open issue list.
  • Perform hourly audits in sequence loads at installation.
  • Talk to assembly plant personnel at least 3x’s per shift. 
  • Environmental Management: Report unsafe conditions and acts, as well as misuse of machines, equipment, and facilities. 
  • Notification of quality claims received in the shift to the US5 plant identifying the type of failure according to Tesla requirements, as well as the traceability of the reported part, description of the defect, including images, etc.  
  • Has the ability to stop production, upon notifying the Supervisor and Plant Manager for Safety related matters requiring immediate attention. 
  • Introduce yourself to your outgoing shift partner 15 minutes before the start of the shift to receive relevant information from the previous shift. Outgoing shift personnel may not withdraw from customer facilities until they have delivered shift reports and are pending. 
  • Wear the uniform and full safety equipment and make the correct use of work equipment 
  • Perform inspection of the final product, and component assemblies validating that they are the correct components according to your traveling sheet, that the product is without apparent damage, and in the correct buffer quality at Tesla.
  • Validate correct sequences in Buffer, verifying etiolabel physically to avoid jumps of incorrect sequences or positions. 
  • Remove the product traveler sheet in Buffer in Tesla.
  • Interpretation of HBPO product drawings and technical specifications at a basic level.
  • Provide immediate customer response to problems not attributable to HBPO assembly, as well as follow up with Tier2 residents when a supplier-attributable failure applies, Notify the appropriate HBPO QE.  
  • Show commitment and assume responsibility for following and complying with the requirements established in the Integrated Management System, based on the standards, for the implementation and follow-up of the procedures established in the system, taking into account the policy and objectives for these to be carried out.  
  • Fulfill the tasks related to the position (among others, perform and contribute to activities to improve the (general) work environment. In addition, taking into account the necessary activities of industrial safety, environmental protection, and energy management that affect the field of work). 
  • Support Maintaining of ISO 45001 and ISO 50001 processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Required Experience/Skills:

-    3 + years in Quality, Technical or Liason experience in a manufacturing environment - Tier 1 preferred
-    Negotiation skills
-    Knowledge and skill in handling tools
-    Conflict Management
