About the role

Who are we looking for?

Pacific Defense is seeking a Director of Production Program Management with experience managing and leading production programs. The candidate will manage the full value chain for our Pacific defense CMOSS Systems while coordinating support from cross functional teams: engineering, supply chain, operations and manufacturing. The candidate will be hands on day-to-day execution of the design, build, test and delivery of electronic assemblies while working closely with the PD leadership on strategic goals and plans. They will work closely with leadership to establish the ICS business AOP and for his programs will be accountable to meeting those objectives. They will be responsible to transition current EMD and SNT hardware designs to production. They will work closely with manufacturing to establish and monitor key production and quality metric, LOBs to optimize deliveries, cost, and quality.

They will work closely with Government customers from all four service, Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corp to execute current programs as well as working with customers on new opportunities.

This is a unique position in which the selected candidate will be given the opportunity to be hands-on with day-to-day activities, while playing a key strategic role in business execution as well as directly shaping strategy!

Requirements

  • DOD Experience in Production Programs
  • Experience with multiple contracting vehicles – CP, FP, FPI, T&M.
  • Hands on production experience related to electronics assemblies
  • Experience with the cross functional teams, Finance, Contracts, Engineering, Supply chain, Operations, quality
  • Transition to production Experience
  • Experience with Key Production Tools (MRP, LOBs, etc…)
  • Ability to develop detailed project management plans – Schedule, Cost, Staffing, production
  • Experience taking a program thru the requirements, development, I&T, Verification, and transition to production.
  • Ability to work with both internal and external customers. Develop relationships and use to support execution and growth.
  • Demonstrated success in working well in a team and collaborative and distributed environment.
  • Ability to collaborate with Ability to work in a fast pace dynamic environment.
  • Significant experience throughout the program lifecycle from development through sustainment to include: proposal development, requirements decomposition, generation of system and subsystem statements of work and subcontracts, risk management, and continuous improvement efforts including implementation for cost reduction and performance improvement efforts
  • Demonstrated success in managing manpower planning, project reviews, scheduling and budget control

  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience as a program manager with a successful track record of managing cost, schedule, technical execution.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for program execution – contractual, cost, schedule, and technical.
  • Development of EACs and Proposals
  • Provide production forecast for current and future contracts (non-firm) hardware
  • Manage selling and bidding allocation for production programs
  • Develop and manage capital plans for program programs
  • Risk and Opportunity management
  • Formally identifies, assesses, monitors, and mitigates risk and opportunity throughout the program life cycle
  • Develop and implement corrective action plans when deviations from budgets and/or schedules occur
  • Communicates program status and forecasts with the customer and business leadership.
  • Coordinate efforts to support mission and cross business strategy and objectives.
  • Develop and implement plans and schedules to execute contracts/subcontracts.
  • Allocate and control contract budgets for labor, material, travel, and purchased services.
