We develop innovative solutions that keep our military members safe, connected, and informed. As a Senior Software Engineer in this organization, you will be involved in the development of state-of-the-art communications systems to support UAVs, fighter jets, aircraft carriers, and ground vehicles. We build robust networks that implement low latency and high throughput communications that include anti-jamming capabilities, mobile adhoc features and IP connectivity. This position is in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A comprehensive relocation package is available to qualified applicants. 

What You Will Do:

  • You will develop software and integration role on complex multi-threaded embedded C and C++ product software code bases. 
  • You will support the design and development of embedded software solutions and communications products 
  • You will support project team activities related to the specification of requirements, software implementation, test case development, verification test execution, and certification support 
  • You will mentor software developers in technical and process-related areas 

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Knowledge and\or experience in communications systems and multi-threaded embedded application software engineering development and integration 
  • Experience with TDMA, mobile adhoc network (MANET), IP, and other networking and communication protocols 
  • Experience working on an Agile team
