Supernal provides an inviting open-space workplace designed to foster collaboration, which aligns with one of our core values. This position is required to work on-site 5 days a week.
What we do:
The Senior Benefits Specialist is responsible for assisting with the administration of all benefits and retirement programs. These programs include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, 401k plans and employee perks. The Senior Benefits Specialist will work closely with the Human Resources and Payroll teams to ensure that all benefits needs are met and properly communicated to ensure a seamless experience for all employees.
What you can do:
- Ensure the accuracy of all benefits enrollments, providing vendors with accurate eligibility information
- Ensure compliance with DOL, COBRA, ACA, HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, ERISA and any other applicable Federal, State, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, obtaining qualified opinions, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions
- Assist with new-hire orientations
- Perform quality checks of benefits-related data
- Assist employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes
- Distribute all benefits enrollment materials and determine eligibility
- Enroll employees with carriers and process life status changes
- Respond to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries
- Process Assist with and administer leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork inclusive of medical, personal, disability and FMLA
- Effectively interpret FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities
- Respond to retirement inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes, loans and contribution amounts
- Assist with the annual catch-up contribution enrollment
- Assist with the organization’s retirement plan including ongoing compliance, testing, and plan review
- Assist with the open enrollment process
- Provide necessary reports for allocation/billing charges
- Ensure the accuracy and compliance of all benefits-related filings
- Fund the HSA, FSA, and 401K plans every pay day
- Manage the entire Vehicle Lease Program; inclusive of lease renewal, 3rd party vehicle program, vehicle insurance renewal, circle program
- Liaise with HMA on all Vehicle issues
- Manage entire relocation plan and partner with Vendor for any questions/claims
- Other duties as assigned
What you can contribute:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or Human Resources related discipline required
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience working in a benefits administration capacity (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered for this role)
- Experience in ADP Workfo
