Job Description:

Are you a recent high school graduate preparing to study engineering? Are you curious about what engineers actually do and how products make it from idea to market? The High-Power Solutions Business Unit at Microchip is offering a unique Marketing Engineer Internship for motivated students who want to explore the intersection of engineering, marketing, and customer support.

As a Marketing Intern, you’ll work directly with a Sr. Manager and gain hands-on experience in:

• Data analysis using Excel and Python

• Customer and market research to identify trends and opportunities

• Supporting internal teams through report generation, project tracking, and documentation

You’ll use tools such as Excel, Python, Tableau, and SharePoint, and you’ll be exposed to how decisions are made about what products to build, who to build them for, and how to support engineering teams throughout the process.

About the Team

The High-Power Solutions team designs and delivers cutting-edge electronics used in Alternative Energy, Aerospace, Electric Vehicles, Medical, and other high-growth markets. This internship is an opportunity to see how business and technology meet—and how engineers can pursue diverse and fulfilling career paths.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• High school graduate planning to study engineering (college freshmen welcome)

• Strong interest in engineering, technology, and business

• Comfortable with Excel and Python (or other scripting language)

• Familiarity or interest in tools like Tableau and SharePoint

• Organized, curious, and eager to learn how engineering decisions are made in the real world
