Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a full-time Early Career Systems Engineer (Systems Design and Integration). In this role, you will support the Submarine C5I Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) team in the design, integration, and testing of submarine combat systems at our Lockheed Martin Manassas, VA site. As part of the Submarine C5I SE&I team, you will help facilitate System of Systems (SoS) feature development and integration and frequent SoS testing/feedback to Submarine C5I subsystems to ensure a robust combat system is delivered to the Submarine Force. As a member of the SE&I team, you will be involved in SoS features from development through test and delivery to the Fleet. The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in systems engineering principles and practices and will be able to work on a variety of tasks throughout the system lifecycle. Must be a US Citizen; This position will require a government security clearance; This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any Engineering field or related discipline, such as Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or other relevant disciplines from an accredited college

• Relevant coursework or experience with requirements management, system design and architecture, systems modeling, integration and test, and/or project management

• Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Desired skills

• Basic understanding of agile development principles and methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and familiarity with Atlassian Jira and Confluence collaboration products
• Familiarity with Model-based Systems Engineering principles (e.g., SysML, UML) and tools (e.g., Cameo, Rhapsody, MagicDraw)
• Familiarity with system and software architecture concepts such as containerization and virtualization
• Basic knowledge of the Linux operating system and command line interface
• Ability to support traveling to pier-side events to support navy submarine testing
