Lifeguard: Part Time (Seasonal)

This position will be responsible for providing a safe, clean and enjoyable environment for all guests by consistently monitoring pool and deck activity and enforcing safety rules.

* Must have weekend availability *

Seasonal position end date: September 8th, 2024

Schedule Varies: Pool will be open from 9am -9pm

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:

• Prevent injuries and eliminate hazards, recognize and respond effectively in emergency situations and operate all applicable equipment in a safe manner according to established policies and procedures.
• Cleaning and maintaining the decks and pools and providing information beneficial to guest satisfaction by up selling resort facilities and services.
• Responsible for opening and closing duties, safety checks, and performing first aid care as needed.
• Communicate effectively with the Guest Engagement Manager and co-workers in order to help maintain a cohesive workplace.
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma/GED or currently enrolled or attending school.
• Certification in shallow water safety skills, first aid and CPR required. (HICV will provide training)

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• Lifeguard Certification preferred
• CPR (ARC or AHA) and First Aid (ARC or SEMT) preferred
• If you are not currently Lifeguard Certified, Holiday Inn Club Vacations will provide certification.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to write and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Safely, swimming at least 10 yards, diving and retrieving a ten-pound brick in at least five feet of water.
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with all guests and other staff.
• Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
• Demonstrates a sincere dedication to provide an unsurpassed level of owner and guest satisfaction.
• Demonstrates a professional appearance and a pleasant personality.
• Demonstrates a high degree of judgment and decision making.
