Supervisor Clinical Laboratory - Hematology

Ensures quality patient care in assigned areas of responsibility; Is responsible for the technical and scientific oversight of the assigned Laboratory section(s), trains and evaluates the technical competency of the section personnel. Makes clinical / technical decisions to resolve problems, to meet Hospital and departmental goals and assure quality patient care. Maintains the quality and security of departmental data. Supervises personnel performance and training, maintenance of systems and QC.

Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree Biological Science or Chemistry.
- 1 year internship in approved Medical Technology program.
- Additional education in assigned section. Or equivalent educ/experience
- Experience in assigned section.
- Upon hire: California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License California Or
- Upon hire: National Certification from American Society for Clinical Pathology Or
- Upon hire: National Medical Technologist - American Medical Technologists Or
- Upon hire: National Medical Technologist - American Association of Bioanalysts Or
- Upon hire: National Laboratory Tech - United States Government
- 4 years Experience (department specific) as Clinical Laboratory.
- Medical Technologist in hospital or medical setting.
Preferred qualifications:
- 2 years Supervisory experience in hospital or medical setting.
