About the role

Overview

Western & Southern is looking for a dynamic, energetic Intern who is eager to learn about our company by assisting our Information Technology Software Quality Assurance Department in various projects throughout the year. You will be working closely with our project management, testing and development teams to create test cases to align with the business and functional requirements.  You will create and maintain test cases and datasheets for automation.  

Responsibilities

Intern Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understanding QA fundamentals, including QA Processes and testing methodologies. 
  • Write and review functional test cases from user stories or requirements and make recommendations.
  • Execute test cases, investigate and document defects.
  • Understand the UI automation process and provide maintenance updates as needed.
  • Contribute to QA process improvements discussions.
  • Engage in daily meetings and cross-functional collaboration with Software Developers, Business Analyst and SQA peers.

Qualifications

Intern Requirements:

  • A student whose transcript reflects junior or senior.
  • Eager to learn and work with various departments in the company.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Experience or courses with the following topics:
    • Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
    • Basic Test concepts
    • Database management, SQL
    • Testing tools: qTest, JIRA, Modern Requirements.
    • AI Prompt Engineering
