Tax Accountant

We are looking for a Tax Accountant to join our dynamic, fast-paced Financial Statutory Accounting Services team. This position will be located in Houston TX.

 

As a Tax Accountant, you will focus on these responsibilities:

• Participates in Accounts Payable Process
• Responsible of US, Canada and Puerto Rico entity's compliance with local taxes and withholdings, i.e., Sales and Use tax, VAT, Import tax, Service withholding, foreign withholdings
• Keep up to date on changes in the tax laws that could affect the company
• Implement and maintain SAP configuration for taxes and withholdings
• Participates in month end closing
• Assist with internal and external audit work
• Serve as a liaison to employees, assisting them with accounting related service issues Development responsibilities
• Should be able to recommend tax strategies that comply with laws and promote our company's financial well-being.
• Performs factual verification and release of recurrent general and administrative costs.

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

• Ability to pay close attention to details
• Understanding of accounting principles- GAAP, IAS
• Ability to prioritize
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality

• Bilingual: English and Spanish

 

Information Management:

• SAP experience
• MS Office
• Tax Reporting Software (Vertex)
