EMEA Equities Derivatives Product Controller - Senior Associate

<p>EMEA Equities EDG (Equity Derivatives Group) is made up of several trading businesses; Delta One, Flow, Exotics, Convertibles, Corporates &amp; Financing.</p> <p>As the EMEA Equities Derivaties Product Controller you will be responsible for producing a substantiated T+1 P&amp;L and Market Risk to the Front Office and senior management. Other responsibilities include performing reconciliations and resolving issues that impact the P&amp;L/Risk as well as assisting with the smooth closure of month end P&amp;L.</p> <p>Your role requires extensive interaction with Front Office traders, Financial Control and Operations, as well as with Market Risk Coverage, Project teams, and various other functions throughout the bank.</p> <p><strong>Job Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Assist with daily P&amp;L reporting and month-end close processes</li> <li>Provide accurate and timely Market Risk Analysis and daily reporting</li> <li>Produce commentary for P&amp;L and Balance Sheet across legal entities to both internal and external stakeholders</li> <li>Provide detailed analysis and reporting on the financials to desk heads, business managers, and senior finance management</li> <li>Partner with the business to drive forth and implement robust controls and new business initiatives</li> <li>Drive coordination across various front &amp; back office support functions to ensure resolution of control and reporting issues in an accurate and timely manner</li> <li>Own P&amp;L/Risk adjustments, ensuring appropriate comments and remediation.</li> <li>Serve as an analytical and project support resource for product control</li> <li>Handle various ad-hoc requests on a daily basis</li> <li>Support projects and process improvements</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills</strong></p> <ul> <li>Solid experience within Product Control, Financial Control, Accounting, or related area</li> <li>Experience doing P&amp;L and month end close process</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related area</li> <li>Sound understanding of financial products would be advantageous</li> <li>Strong analytical skills and attention to detail including a strong control focus</li> <li>Excellent communication skills and ability to develop strong working relationships</li> </ul> <p></p> J.P.
