We’re looking for a Financial Aid Advisor who’s passionate about helping students navigate the financial aid process and committed to providing clear, accurate guidance every step of the way.

Location: Draper, Utah (Remote considered for highly qualified candidates)

What You’ll Do:

  • Advise students on financial aid applications, eligibility, and award options 
  • Review, verify, and assess student files in line with federal, state, and institutional regulations 
  • Determine aid packages based on established guidelines and individual circumstances 
  • Provide personalized support through workshops, one-on-one advising, calls, emails, and online tools 
  • Handle verification of selected FAFSA files, request documentation, submit corrections, and adjust awards as needed 
  • Communicate financial aid processes clearly within the team, across departments, and with students and families 
  • Review and process special circumstance requests with sound professional judgment 
  • Represent the Financial Aid team at student events, orientations, and campus activities 
  • Collaborate with other departments on student support initiatives 
  • Assist leadership with department goals, projects, and student success strategies 
  • Manage exit counseling for students leaving the university 
  • Take on special projects or additional duties as needed

Requirements

What You’ll Need:

  • Required: Associate’s degree plus 3 years of customer service experience
     
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree and 2–3 years of financial aid experience in higher education
