POSITION SUMMARY:
The Clinical Supervisor – Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is part of a multidisciplinary team that provides comprehensive psychiatric care to patients served by Equitas Health including those living with HIV/AIDS. The Clinical Supervisor – Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner works autonomously and in collaboration with a variety of staff to diagnose and manage patients’ health care. Participation in the development, expansion, and maintenance of the Equitas Health Center program is expected.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, traveling, driving or having reliable transportation; written communication; relationship building with community partners and funders; utilizing a computer for documentation, telehealth and conducting research; attending meetings; and presenting to small and large groups.

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists the Director of Clinical Administration with clinical program identification, development, design and
- Identifies statewide opportunities for growth of Equitas Health and works with departmental leadership to devise strategic goals and timelines.
- Develops and strengthens relationships with various stakeholders including medical team, network providers and key decision makers.
- Develops implements and monitors referral network for appropriate patient
- Identifies and resolves challenges/barriers with Psych NP’s model of health care delivery and develops solutions in collaboration with other stakeholders. Provides clinical expertise for the group.
- Actively participates with Quality and Workflow management in the development and implementation of clinical process improvements.
- Oversight of competency, documentation and outcomes of care provided by Psych NPs
- Participates in the interviewing and recommendation of hiring Psych Nurse Practitioners in collaboration with the Director of Clinical Administration
- Facilitates learning for other staff to become more effective in their Provides coaching and team building, as appropriate.

- Provide direct care to patients including but not limited to comprehensive medical history, medical assessment, primary care, specialty HIV care, transgender health, laboratory surveillance, and physical exam.

- Assist with accreditation and certification for Behavioral Health
- Assess patient risk behaviors and educate patients in prevention of HIV

EDUCATION/LICENSURE:- Master of Science Degree, Ohio licensure as a Psych Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive
- National certification within respective area of specialty
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and other Qualifications:
- Master of Science Degree, Ohio licensure as a Psych Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive
- National certification within respective area of specialty
- One to three years of experience in providing psychiatric care
- 3 years previous supervisory and clinical leadership experience preferred.
- Experience in Epic
- 5 years or more of experience in providing primary care desired
- 5 years or more of experience in providing HIV care
- Exemplary customer service as well as written and verbal communication
- Knowledge of health and social service needs of persons with HIV/AIDS.
