The Opportunity

Black & Veatch is in search of a Pursuit Content Development Specialist to become part of a dynamic team in the Power Providers market segment, offering support to the Advanced Power Generation and Renewables Solutions teams. In this role, the Specialist will craft pursuit and proposal content and liaise with internal stakeholders to present compelling responses to external clients for business capture endeavors. Responsibilities include developing proposals, project experience sheets, qualifications, executive summaries, cover letters and other deliverables tailored for client responses. Ensuring alignment with project strategies and maintaining compelling and accurate messaging are essential aspects of this role.


This is a Hybrid position at one of our Regional Offices.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborates and/or leads the authoring, editing, production, assembly, and delivery of various proposals, deliverables, statement of qualifications, and other related documents and information.   
• Facilitates and assembles responses for EPC and Services pursuits as the opportunity progresses though the proposal life cycle, including layout and artwork in Adobe InDesign.  
• Leads a structured approach for determination of client goals and issues to support development of a compelling response that details the features, benefits, and proofs (GIFBP or similar framework) of the offered solution. Develops a cohesive response that incorporates the outcomes of the GIFBP process and response strategies communicated by stakeholders. 
• Proofreads and edits technical and marketing material for content accuracy, brand standard compliance, style, grammar, spelling, and punctuation. 
• Establishes and maintains consistent corporate and solution messaging for all assignments and deliverables. 
• Collaborates with and holds others accountable to complete/produce timely, uniform, compelling, visually appealing deliverables. 
• General business acumen/knowledge with ability to develop strong knowledge of company editorial standards and practices. 

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite, with intermediate to advanced skills in Word and InDesign.   
• Previous experience developing proposals; preferably working in an EPC (Engineering Procurement Construction) and/or project management firm in the energy industry.
