About the role

Position Summary...

This role will support the Corporate Facility team for the new Home Office Campus. Primary responsibility will be with the Exterior Services Landscape Team. The selected candidate will take a lead role in the overall program management, innovation, capital and operational execution, project management, as well as vendor management within the landscape trade for Walmart Facilities.  

What you'll do...

  • Lead the maintenance operations to support the landscape management team for all assigned properties; maintaining the working order and availability of equipment, tools, and supplies.
  • Provide supervision and development opportunities for landscape team through hiring and promotions; Coordinate and engage onboarding process for current and new associates, including training, mentoring, establishing performance expectations, assigning duties, providing recognition, and ensuring diversity awareness.
  • Oversee the implementation of landscape projects from start to finish. This includes scheduling tasks and coordinating project timeline cross-functionally with key stakeholders, internal and external.
  • Managing resources such as labor, equipment, and materials efficiently to maximize productivity and minimize waste. This may involve sourcing and purchasing materials, equipment maintenance, and optimizing workflow processes.
  • Conducting regular site inspections at assigned sites to assess the condition of landscapes, identify any issues or maintenance needs, and develop plans for ongoing care and maintenance; This includes tasks related to irrigation, plant health care, tree care, landscape maintenance, and seasonal needs.
  • Developing comprehensive project plans that outline project objectives, scope, timelines, resource requirements, and deliverables. This involves identifying project stakeholders, defining project goals, and creating a roadmap for project execution.
  • Developing and managing budgets for landscape projects, including cost estimation, budget allocation, tracking expenses, vendor invoicing, and financial reporting.
  • Monitoring project performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and project metrics to track progress, identify variances, and take corrective actions as needed. This involves regular monitoring of project milestones, budgets, and resources and implementing control measures to keep the project on track.
  • Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance; accordingly, developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning. 
  • Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy.
