Verdantas is a national consulting group seeking a talented Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our team in the Newark or Dublin, Ohio office. 

Responsibilities:

• Assist Project Managers with engineering design for water and wastewater facilities requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out engineering tasks
• Perform technical engineering work associated with water and wastewater engineering including:
  • Prepare engineering reports and feasibility studies
  • Prepare engineering related calculations and visual aids
  • Develop hydraulic models and perform engineering analysis
  • Participate in field investigations
  • Prepare design drawings, plans, sections, details, and profiles/sections
  • Complete various permitting applications
  • Attend meetings with municipal officials, engineers, and contractors
• Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited institution in Civil or Environmental Engineering with an emphasis in water/wastewater or other related field
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) preferred
• 0-3 years of experience in civil engineering, particularly water and wastewater services
• Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
• Familiarity with AutoCAD
  • Civil 3D is a plus
• Familiarity with ArcGIS software is a plus
• Familiarity with computer models for hydraulic system analysis
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
