We are hiring a Principal Technical Program Manager to join our growing Shared Platform Engineering Team at Zscaler. You will be a key leader in driving the execution of complex, cross-functional programs that support the strategic goals of our platform engineering organization. In this position, you will play a critical role in enabling the successful delivery of platform initiatives by collaborating with product, engineering, and operations teams to align on priorities, manage dependencies, and ensure a focus on quality, scalability, and a customer-first approach. This is a hybrid work environment, going into our San Jose, CA office 3 days a week.  Reporting directly to the VP of Shared Platform Engineering, you will be responsible for:

• Managing critical platform initiatives, ensuring successful execution, alignment with strategic goals, and delivery of impactful outcomes
• Defining and optimizing program management frameworks to improve processes, enable efficiency, and drive alignment with business priorities
• Leveraging technical expertise and strategic thinking to navigate complexity, address challenges, and enhance  platform engineering processes
• Using data-driven insights to identify risks, implement mitigation strategies, and facilitate informed decision-making for program success
• Communicating progress, outcomes, and timelines effectively to cross-functional stakeholders while maintaining operational rhythm and scalability

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

• 10+ years of experience in technical program management or related fields
• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field 
• Proficiency in program management methodologies, tools, and frameworks 
• Extensive experience in collaborating with executive teams and influencing organizational strategy
• Strong understanding of platform-based engineering architecture and experience leading customer-facing engineering development in this area

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Certifications such as PMP or Scrum Master credentials, combined with advanced proficiency in program management tools like JIRA, Confluence, and SFDC
• Proven expertise in leading large-scale transformational initiatives, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and driving client-side program development across Web and Native clients
• Collaborative experience with organizational leaders to accelerate projects and enhance productivity through AI-driven tools and strategies

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.
