Air Liquide Large Industries provides our customers with industrial gas and energy solutions that are vital to their own industrial production. We own and operate over 2,000 miles of industrial gas pipelines in the U.S. supplying mainly oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen and syngas in large quantities from multiple production sources to major customers in the chemicals, petrochemicals, refining and steel industries. Our pipeline operations and industrial gas production facilities are closely monitored 24/7 within our leading-edge operations control center located in Houston, Texas. Our operations control group monitors over 89,000 data points and assists with product supply and coordination. We are constantly optimizing our supply network to provide high reliability and energy efficiencies allowing Air Liquide to adjust supply needs more quickly and effectively enabling growth to our customers.
How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting plant equipment to ensure a high level of reliability.Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Have a good understanding of rotating equipment including compressors, pumps, turbine/expanders, fan/blowers, and motors.
- Have a good understanding of heat exchangers, boilers, reactors, and cooling towers.
- Have a good understanding of what role rotating equipment and non rotating equipment provide in the processes.
- Have a good understanding of preventative and predictive maintenance techniques.
- Be able to write purchase requisitions for materials and contract labor.
- Be able to write WO's for defective equipment.
- Track and keep accurate records on equipment
- Successfully complete all assigned training.
- Be able to build a work scope and submit to procurement for bid purposes.
- Be able to oversee and coordinate contractors during equipment outages.
- Manage and set up parts in the warehouse.
- Must be able to gather and rationalize equipment data and make sound decisions.
- Must be able to take call outs as required.
- Must have a strong safety culture

Are you a MATCH?
- Be able to read a P&ID and mechanical drawing.
- Have an understanding of critical dimensions and how to measure them.
- Be able to inspect and perform quality control checks during equipment overhauls.
- Be able to communicate with fellow team members, operations, and contractors.
- Ability to work self directed
- Proficiency with Maximo or another CMMS
- Proficiency with Google or Microsoft programs like excel and word
- High school diploma or GED
- 10 years experience in power, chemical, or industrial maintenance preferred
- Experience and/or training in machinery alignment, vibration, and lube oil analysis preferred.
- Human performance improvement training a plus
- Lean training a plus
- Fitness for duty, including but not limited to lifting 50 lbs, working at heights, and climbing ladders.
- Ability to operate a fork lift, man lift, and or telehandler.
- Ability to pass an OSHA SCBA and respirator fit test.
- Able to enter confined spaces for inspection/testing while wearing a fall restraint harness.Ability to work on call as needed.
