This position is eligible for a flexible work schedule arrangement at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change. 

 

Your Responsibilities 

 

As a Senior Cost Engineer for John Deere Seeding located in Moline, IL, you will….

 

• Lead design ideation & concepting across Planters & Air Seeding for all commodities
• Prepare make vs buy documentation after identifying insourcing/outsourcing opportunity
• Identify potential sourcing opportunity based on existing data
• Model concepts, estimate cost savings, initiate FEA, and hand off to the engineering organization for implementation

What Skills You Need

 

• 3 or more years of project management experience. 
• Ability to build relationships and trust with manufacturing, design, and supply management and effectively communicate projects, vision, and timelines
• 3 or more years of modeling experience in Creo

 

What Makes You Stand Out

 

• Experience in electrical harnesses, hydraulics, castings, and/or metal fab

 

Education

 

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

 

• Bachelor degree with 3 or more years of design engineering experience
