Job Description

We are looking for someone who has strong technical, design, documentation, and leadership experience to join our architecture team as a Solutions Architect developing technical solutions to support our industry leading property claims solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design solutions holistically in the context of business, data, application, technology, integration, security, and DevOps needs.
• Run engineering projects that have business and product level impact and set a new standard for engineering processes, design, and architecture.
• Serves as a bridge between enterprise goals and technology development.
• Proactively engage stakeholders across the organization.
• Ensure projects stay on time, on budget, and are effective in solving the problem it was developed to solve.
• Communicate clearly and be able to translate technical details into language that non-technical stakeholders can understand and vice versa.
• Document business, customer, and technical workflows, architecture, and solutions in a way that implementation teams can hit the ground running.
• Thrive in an environment with multiple legacy code bases, varying team dynamics, and engaged and demanding customers.
• Perform design, debug, and performance analysis on solutions.
• Advocate for process improvements and helping develop solutions.
• Provide technical leadership to a team throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead the development of proof-of-concept projects to validate your proposed solutions.
• Review and validate solution designs from other team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
• Strong technical writing skills
• Experience in cloud architecture and related patterns
• Knowledge of software design patterns and principles
• Experience with CI/CD systems such as Azure DevOps
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases
• Experience with distributed systems methods and practices
• Experience with automated testing and software verification
• Ability to master new skills quickly and apply them to improve processes
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with others
• Ability to get buy-in, manage projects, and lead teams
