The Business Development Coordinator (“Coordinator”) supports the Technology practice area. Day to day tasks in this role include initiativesThe Client Development Coordinator (“Coordinator”) supports the Technology Industry unit with workstreams including proposals and RFPs, client presentations, development of collateral material, event planning, web page and bio updating, surveys, league tables and rankings, data management, and general market and client research. These projects often involve working with different functional areas of the Client Development department as well as with all levels of firm personnel from partners to administrative staff.
In addition to the primary day-to-day responsibilities, the Coordinator is responsible for understanding and following Client Development and Marketing processes and procedures including but not limited to: proposal processes and procedures, event management tracking, business development technology and processes, and CRM modules and processes. In addition, the Coordinator should be able to develop an understanding of essential firm technologies such as Dynamics 365 and Foundation, as well as select business development specific technologies.
The Coordinator role is part of the department’s core support structure. Accordingly, while this role reports to the Manager, Client Development, it will, as needed, be called upon to assist with other office and practice development initiatives.
What You’ll Do:
• Prepare drafts of and coordinate new client pitches, proposals, client presentations and, with direction, RFP responses.
• Working with the Manager, creates and maintains practice marketing materials, including practice group descriptions, thought leadership pieces, brochures, slide decks, practice specific case/transaction lists and intranet/website/blog content.
• Design, plan and provide logistical event support for business development events. This will involve creating an event marketing plan, working with the design team to craft various print and electronic materials; managing the process for electronic announcements and invitations; handling pre-event logistics; allocating tickets; providing on-site event staffing; assisting with post-event follow-up; and tracking lead generation and ROI received.
• Work with the Client Development leaders and Marketing and Communications team to monitor news and secure PR, accolades and rankings for the firm. Identify opportunities, schedule interviews, complete surveys, directories, and other listings.
• Track and report on client contacts, new opportunities and experience using firm-wide CRM, proposal and matters databases.
• Conduct basic competitive intelligence and market research in preparation for client and prospect meetings, pitches/proposals, and other new business generation initiatives.
• Help field and assist with general marketing information requests from attorneys and staff and, as needed, route requests to the appropriate personnel.
• Provide direct support to firm-wide business development priority projects as determined by department leadership.

• 2+ years of marketing or business development experience in a law firm, professional services organization or corporate environment
