QA Test Analyst / Sr. Level

Classification: Contract
Contract Length: 12-months
Location: Remote
Position Summary
Oversees all aspects of the application testing activities for a given effort, which can include functional, integration, load, and performance testing across UI, API, and database. May assist project team with high-level design and/or integration considerations. Will contribute to building and improving automation frameworks, testing processes, as well as help mentor and lead junior-level and mid-level QA members of the team
Responsibilities
- Perform all necessary testing for Sprint/Kanban work, regression, etc. with a “How can I break this?” testing approach
- Work as quality lead within Agile delivery team
- Collaborate with the delivery team members to develop Agile testing strategies that address areas such as database impacts, functional software use cases, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability
- Defect discovery, prevention and tracking with the scrum team
- Mentor across QA teams within organization
- Build new automation test scripts using programming language C# or TypeScript
- Build web UI automation using approved technologies
- Build API and database tests, automated pref.
- Maintain and debug existing automated test scripts and active manual tests
- Build test automation framework as needed
- Create training material for QA in organization as needed
- Help the team prevent defects by baking in quality practices early in the planning and development phases
- Help mentor junior-level and mid-level QA resources as needed
Requirements
- 7+ years of strong QA testing experience
- Proficient in software testing of happy path, edge cases, failure cases, etc.
- Proficient experience creating and executing complex SQL queries
- Proficient experience with API testing
- Experience with integration testing (large-scale multi-app solution a plus)
- 4+ years of OOP/scripting experience with languages like C#, Typescript, Python, etc. (C#/Typescript heavily preferred, must be able to transition to C#/Typescript quickly)
- Experience implementing test automation frameworks from scratch
- Experience with UI automation technologies like Selenium, Playwright, HP UFT, Cypress.io, or similar
- Experience with source code repository like GIT, TFS or subversion
- Experience with SDLC tools like ALM, Rally, JIRA, etc
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions a plus
