As a Staff Forward Deployed Engineer at Ridgeline, you will play a critical role within our implementation organization, working side-by-side with consultants to tailor technical solutions that power investment management operations. You’ll bring technical excellence and customer empathy to each engagement, using your problem-solving skills to ensure successful deployment and long-term scalability. What will you do?

• Design, develop, and deploy software solutions tailored to the needs of Ridgeline’s implementation teams and customer use cases
• Solve complex technical problems by building innovative features and tools that empower our clients and partners
• Dedicate a portion of your time to embedding within implementation projects to ensure tools, automations, and integrations perform as intended
• Seamlessly integrate new features into Ridgeline’s platform, ensuring alignment with client systems and business logic
• Provide training and support to customer teams, increasing adoption and technical fluency with Ridgeline’s tools
• Collaborate directly with clients to gather requirements, understand business challenges, and provide expert technical consultation
• Manage project roadmaps, prioritize engineering tasks, and align with implementation teams to deliver high-impact features on time
• Lead architectural reviews, offer technical mentorship, and ensure code is scalable, maintainable, and performance-optimized across projects

Desired Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in a software development or deployment role, ideally with client-facing experience
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, TypeScript, or C++
• Experience building and deploying data integration or ETL tools
• Proficiency in cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Solid foundation in networking, security, and infrastructure management
• Proven success integrating software solutions into complex client environments
• Strong communication and consulting skills, with the ability to translate technical insights into business value
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and as part of cross-functional teams
• Experience incorporating customer feedback into product enhancements

Bonus

• Background in financial software or investment management platforms
• Familiarity with portfolio management, trading systems, or risk tools
• Hands-on experience with AI tools, including OpenAI API, LangChain, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
• Knowledge of UX principles and intuitive design for enterprise applications
• Experience designing and working with RESTful APIs and microservices
• Ability to advise clients on tooling, architecture, and best practices
• Familiarity with Slack, JIRA/Confluence, and professional services tools
