Your Responsibilities
As a Manufacturing Engineer Weld for JD Thibodaux located in Thibodaux, LA, you will:
- Mentor entry level engineers within the business unit
- Have ownership of weld departments and ensure business goals are met
- Contribute to the welding process strategy and smart connected factory road map
- Provide project management leadership in capital projects with a focus on safety, productivity, and capacity

What Skills You Need
- 4 or more years' experience in a welding manufacturing environment
- 4 or more years' experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
- 4 or more years' experience with problem solving and root cause analysis
- Project management experience - Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on sequencing and scheduling tasks into a project plan
- Demonstrated skills with electronic tools such as Creo, Creo-View
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and have a collaborative mindset
- Ability to travel up to 25% based on business needs
What Makes You Standout
- Robotic welding experience
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with both salary and wage employees
- Experience managing and applying safe systems of work without supervision and providing technical guidance when required
- Identifies, assesses, prioritizes and manages risks without supervision and provides technical guidance when required
- Welding Engineering degree
- Demonstrated skills with dimensional inspection software
Education
Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent manufacturing engineering experience
