We are seeking a highly skilled and dependable Lead Pool Technician to oversee the repair, maintenance, and daily operation of all pools, spas, hot springs, pumps, and water features at our natural hot spring resort. This individual will ensure that all water systems are functioning efficiently, safely, and in compliance with health regulations, while preserving the natural integrity of our unique geothermal features

Qualifications

Core Responsibilities:

· Lead the maintenance and repair of all resort pools, hot springs, spas, and water features, including circulation pumps, heaters, chillers, filters, and control systems.

· Monitor and manage water chemistry to maintain health department compliance, including regular testing and chemical adjustments.

· Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on plumbing and mechanical systems related to water operations.

· Identify and troubleshoot issues in a timely and cost-effective manner, coordinating with outside contractors as needed.

· Maintain logs and documentation of pool operations, water quality, maintenance schedules, and repairs.

· Maintain DEH standards of testing and compliance for geothermal water.

· Maintain extensive knowledge of the geothermal water system on site which will control all water supply to geothermal pools.

· Ensure all equipment and facilities meet safety, cleanliness, and operational standards.

· Support the Engineering Manager in capital project planning and system upgrades related to pools and water systems.

· Train and supervise other team members or seasonal staff involved in pool maintenance or support tasks.

· Respond promptly to emergency maintenance needs related to aquatic systems.

· Uphold the resort’s commitment to environmental responsibility, especially when managing natural hot spring resources.

Qualifications:

· 3+ years of experience in pool/spa maintenance, with strong knowledge of mechanical and plumbing systems.

· CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification preferred or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire.

· Experience with natural hot springs, geothermal systems, or commercial aquatic systems is a plus.

· Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and equipment manuals.

· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Must be able to lift 50+ lbs, work outdoors in varying weather conditions, and be on-call for emergencies.

· Excellent communication skills and a collaborative work ethic.

 

Please note that this position does requires you to work possible days/nights/weekends/holidays

 

Full Time 

Hourly: $29-$34 per hour/ DOE
