The Senior Director of Corporate and Business Development Financial Modeling & Deal Analysis will serve as a senior leader within the Corporate Development organization, responsible for the modeling, valuation, and financial structuring of the company’s most significant strategic transactions. This includes high-level, mid- to large-size M&A transactions, divestitures, strategic investments, and enterprise-level deals. In addition, this individual will support complex or high-value Business Development transactions, particularly those with broader financial and strategic implications. The role requires a high degree of financial rigor, cross-functional collaboration, and executive presence to inform and influence investment decisions at the highest levels.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Serve as the lead financial strategist and model owner for mid- to large-scale M&A transactions, divestitures, and other high-value strategic investments.

  • Build and manage comprehensive financial models, including full integration of revenue forecasts, cost structures, tax considerations, capital planning, and synergies.

  • Collaborate with Corporate Development, Legal, Tax, and Treasury to assess deal structures, terms, risks, and strategic fit.

  • Support the financial evaluation of complex or non-standard BD transactions

  • Conduct detailed valuation analyses (DCF, IRR, NPV, accretion/dilution) to support internal investment decisions.

  • Run scenario and sensitivity analysis to stress-test base cases and identify key risks and value drivers.

  • Develop investment theses and business cases aligned with long-range planning and corporate objectives.

  • Work across Finance, Legal, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, and Commercial to validate assumptions, ensure compliance, and drive alignment across all deal components.

  • Prepare high-quality financial summaries, investment decks, and decision materials for Executive Leadership Team

  • Present deal valuations and financial recommendations with clarity, credibility, and strategic alignment.

  • Coordinate with FP&A and Commercial Finance teams to transition financial assumptions into forecasts and integration plans.

  • Participate in post-deal performance reviews to evaluate value realization against modeled projections.

  • Mentor junior team members and support the capability development of strategic finance functions tied to M&A and BD.

The minimum qualifications for this role are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.  Master’s degree preferred with 10+ years of experience in business development, commercial strategy, or portfolio management within the U.S. pharmaceutical industry.  Related experience and/or education may be considered.

  • CFA preferred.

  • 6–10+ years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or strategic finance, preferably in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry.

  • Proven experience evaluating and modeling high-level, mid- to large-size M&A transactions and other strategic corporate deals.

  • Strong knowledge of deal structuring, valuation techniques, and scenario analysis across both corporate and business development contexts.

  • Commercial fluency with the ability to partner closely with Commercial leaders and translate strategy into financial impact.

  • Exceptional cross-functional collaboration and communication skills, including experience influencing senior executives.

  • This position offers flexibility for remote work, with a strong preference for candidates based along the East Coast U.S. Occasional travel may be required based on business needs.

  • Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading, and writing English is required.
