Our hospital is a private, not-for-profit health care center, licensed for 346 beds, which serves more than 400,000 inpatients and outpatients each year. In addition, MercyOne North Iowa is a teaching institution. We conduct a Family Medicine Residency, Internal Medicine Residency, Cardiology Fellowship, Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship, PGY1 Pharmacy Residency and a School of Radiologic Technology. MercyOne North Iowa is a clinical training site for approximately 500 students from 127 different colleges enrolled in programs for medical laboratory, nursing, paramedic, rehabilitation, medical assistants, pastoral services, physicians and many other medical fields.

MercyOne North Iowa Wound Care offers comprehensive treatment options to help the body repair damaged tissue, speed up the healing process, prevent infections and reduce pain to ensure optimal recovery.
Services
We provide treatment for these common wounds:
• Pouching and other skin-related concerns related to ostomies.
• Skin ulcers or sores that develop from other health complications.
• Skin ulcers are usually caused by inadequate blood flow or nerve problems often associated with diabetes.
• Sores that develop on arms and legs from inadequate blood flow.
• Traumatic crush injuries.
• Venous ulcers.
• Wounds caused by surgical incisions that did not heal properly.
• Wounds that develop over tissue that has previously received radiation treatment.

Amount: $5,000.00
Payout Schedule: 25% at hire, 25% at 1 year, 50% at 2 years.
2 Years Wound Experience Required for Eligibility
Commitment/Retention Period: 2 years

Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire a Clinic RN at our MercyOne North Iowa Vascular & Wound Center
As a Clinic Registered Nurse at MercyOne, you will provide patient care in outpatient settings and are responsible for delivering safe, effective, and evidence-based patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. They coordinate care provided by other clinical staff, support patient and family education, and ensure communication across healthcare teams. They are accountable for clinical standards and may operate with minimal supervision.
Schedule:
- Full time 40 hours a week
- Office Hours: 8:00a-5:00p
- No Weekends No Holidays
General Requirements:
- Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
- Plans, assesses, intervenes, and provides direct patient care using critical thinking and nursing processes (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
- Performs comprehensive patient assessments (physical, psychosocial, nutritional, functional, safety, spiritual, cultural, educational). Makes nursing decisions based on patient status and care needs.
- Administers medications and treatments safely via multiple routes (oral, IM, SC, ID, IV, inhalation, topical, ocular, optic, sublingual, nasal) and documents accordingly.
- Performs nursing care, lab and diagnostic tests, specimen collection, phlebotomy, and limited radiology procedures following policies and universal precautions.
- Assists providers with patient care, phone/mail/fax communications, scheduling, consents, admissions, referrals, and outpatient procedures.
- Communicates and collaborates with physicians, staff, patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members regarding care plans and patient needs.
- Educates patients, families, and clinical staff on treatments, medications, test preparation, discharge, and health maintenance; documents education and evaluates understanding.
- Participates in staff meetings, committees, quality improvement, risk management, and performance improvement projects.
