In this highly visible role, the Quality Engineer II works together with Engineering, Manufacturing, and our suppliers to develop ways to deliver challenging designs while at the same time not sacrificing manufacturing requirements for quality.

- Strong part acceptance criteria knowledge.
- Coordinate Dock Audits, NCP, MRB, develop the proper audits procedures and material flow.
- Develop procedures needed to perform and document standardized work.
- Create and implement departmental processes such as control and reaction plans to protect the factory's quality & delivery and forge excellent cross-functional relationships with the supplier chain team.
- React immediately to any supplier-related abnormality with a sense of urgency bringing an interim solution to the affected process while the supportive team analyzes the root cause in parallel.
- Close interaction with supply chain team & suppliers to align requirements and expectations. The goal is to develop suppliers on achieving a solid quality output with a proactive mindset.
- Knowledge of CMM and stamping parts dimensional analysis.
- Perform supplier audits and assessments. Develop process improvement plans and drive immediate implementation; monitor and maintain performance metrics.
- Participate in the investigation for supplier quality issues to determine root cause, identify and implement corrective actions, drive sustained long-term permanent and preventive actions.
- Develop quality plans, design test methods and gages, identify potential failure modes and process weaknesses and drive corrective actions.
- Travel up to 25%, occasionally on short notice.
You Bring:
- Bachelor’s in Engineering is required.
- 2+ years’ in high-volume manufacturing background required with experience in process improvement required.
- 2+ years’ experience in Stamping quality engineering experience required.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and drawings and in-depth knowledge of quality standards and specifications.
- Excellent analytical abilities, technical writing ability, and comprehensive understanding of quality toolbox.
- The ability to develop an improvement plan for suppliers to achieve desired results and avoid affecting the factory's performance.
- Certification preferred - American Society for Quality, Six Sigma Black Belt, etc.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills, hands-on and data-driven, adapt to the dynamic working environment, a creative mindset in problem-solving.
- Excellent Microsoft abilities.
