Business Unit Overview:

Blackstone Credit & Insurance (“BXCI”) is one of the world’s leading credit investors. Job Title: Blackstone Credit & Insurance – Senior Associate

Responsibilities:

• Deliver Blackstone’s investment management expertise and products to insurance companies.
• Participate in all aspects of investing and allocation decisions for multiple clients at once.
• Act as lead point of contact for a Bermuda reinsurance company client.
• Work across the firm as a Blackstone Credit & Insurance subject matter expert on alternatives fund commitments.
• Collaborate with Blackstone’s business units to construct tailored multi-asset product offerings for key strategic insurance clients.
• Draft investment memos and presentations for potential and existing Blackstone Credit & Insurance clients on potential investment options, as well as regulators and rating agencies on diligence requests.
• Construct detailed financial models and valuation analyses.
• Conduct insurance industry research and analysis.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field

Certifications:

• Completion of 2 levels of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in job offered or related occupations.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in conducting due diligence, and advising on financing and reinsurance transactions for life insurance companies in the United States.
• Minimum 2 years of experience using S&P Cap IQ and S&P SNL for insurance Statutory and GAAP financial statement analysis.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with insurance regulatory landscape analysis.
• Minimum 2 years of experience using Microsoft Excel to build detailed financial and cash flow models.
• Minimum 2 years of experience using Microsoft PowerPoint to develop internal and external presentation materials,
• Minimum 2 years of experience using Microsoft Word to draft transaction memos and review legal transaction documentation.
• Experience can be concurrent.

Expected annual base salary range:

$150,000 - $200,000
