Senior Director, Strategic Pricing

Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers. The company’s R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding professionals in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.
The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Vice President, US Market Access, the Sr. Director of Strategic Pricing is responsible for developing, recommending and executing gross and net pricing strategies with senior management and key customers in the payer and provider market. The role requires strong strategic thinking, knowledge of the pricing landscape in oncology and tactical support to ensure Revolution Medicines products gain formulary-policy access and reimbursement in order to not impact the ability for patients to get and remain on therapy. This role will work closely with Market Access and Commercial leadership, Finance, Supply Chain, Information Sciences as well as the broader Commercial and Medical Affairs organization.

Establishes, leads, and manages a team of Strategic Pricing experts at Revolution Medicines.

Establish corporate pricing philosophies to support Revolution Medicines corporate mission-values, commercial objectives and brand strategies.

Development external facing price philosophy positions to utilize with Internal Relations to support earnings and press releases with the communication team

Develops strong gross and net price recommendations to support pipeline and go to market oncology products.

Price value assessment

Contracting net price strategies and tactics

Development of Commercial contracting terms and conditions (with Legal)

Contract Price analytics reporting

LCM price strategy adjustments

Develops Revolution Medicines Executive Price Governance Forums.

Maintains pricing guidelines across brands, market access payer and provider segments.

Establishes and manage strong relationships with Finance to provide guidance and information to support finance accountability to process all price rebates, operations and government pricing calculations for certification.

Support gross to net modeling with Finance

Analyze percent of business to support forecasting

Provide policy and legislation analysis for pricing related activities

Monitors, assess and recommend pricing adjustments to support life cycle management efforts consistent with pipeline indication expansion opportunities.

Leads regular business reviews with senior commercial and finance executives to ensure all KPIs and market access strategies support launch and brand imperatives.
Required Skills, Experience and Education:

Bachelor’s degree required with 10+ years of oncology experience in market access and pricing in pharmaceuticals or biopharma.

Experience in setting prices for new product launches.

Experience with day-to-day management of systems and vendor partners.

Deep understanding of US pricing dynamics.

Experience with utilizing data to generate analysis to support corporate objectives.

Experience in support of the Board of Director presentations.

Experience with customer engagements and negotiation skills.

Track record of being a collaborative team player, and adaptive to meet the needs of a growing business.

Strong problem solver with experience leveraging a variety of data sources, platforms, and analytical vendors.

Excellent organizational skills and an ability to prioritize effectively to deliver results within reasonably established timelines.

Ability to represent Revolution Medicines well: strong interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication.

Ability to travel up to 35%.
Preferred Skills:

Experience with oral oncology therapies and targeted treatments for RAS-mutated cancers.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $236,000 to $295,000 for candidates based at our headquarters in Redwood City, CA. The range displayed on each job posting is intended to be the minimum and maximum salary for the
