About the Team: Our Infrastructure + Analytics (I+A) team is the most diverse at CDI, with a growing group of 20+ team members including Civil Engineers, GIS Analysts, Programmers, and Field Technicians. The I+A team thrives on collaboration utilizing the unique strengths and skills of each team member to find innovative solutions for our clients and their projects. The I+A service works with various types of clients including utilities, municipalities, governmental agencies, other consultants, in addition to supporting our internal CDI services. Our teams regularly coordinate with other services and offices, reinforcing our strong family-oriented culture across the organization.


About the Role: The I+A Project Manager will be an integral part of the overall service, working directly with the I+A service leader and other peer team leads. The project manager will provide technical direction to team members, coordinate with project clients and other consultants, as well as oversee project scopes, schedules, and fees. In addition, the I+A project manager will be a technical and professional resource to help collaborate and support with other CDI services and offices based on project and/or client needs.


Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical direction and management of assigned projects based on scope of work and budget.
  • Direct project teams, including CDI team members and/or subconsultants, to execute contracted work.
  • Prepare various types of scopes, schedules, and/or fee estimates for assigned projects and clients.
  • Act as key point of contact with clients, consultants, jurisdictional agencies, or partner organizations.
  • Perform QA/QC reviews of project deliverables such as reports, exhibits, datasets, or other related items.
  • Assist with the preparation and development of project proposals including technical approaches.
  • Support the review and execution of project contracts and agreements with clients or subconsultants.
  • Ensure compliance with CDI procedures, policies, and guidelines including safety and other programs.
  • Work collaboratively with other CDI team members and services to develop effective solutions.
  • Mentor and develop team members, specifically related to GIS and/or data management workflows, processes, and best practices.

Requirements

 Education, Training, and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Science (CS), or Data Analytics from a four-year college or university.
  • Professional licensure/certification related to engineering, GIS, CS, or project management (PE, GISP, PMP, etc.) strongly encouraged.
  • Minimum of 8+ years’ experience in the engineering, utility, and/or infrastructure indu
