Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented F5 Engineer to join our team in Virginia Beach, VA. The position is Hybrid.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Operations and maintenance of DoD cloud broker transport boundaries

• Support of the full lifecycle of cloud based F5 boundary architectures in multiple environments up to and including IL6.

• Provide F5 and networking SME level support for the organization towards development, operations, and modernization efforts.

• Integrate into a larger security team with focuses on varying disciplines and technologies in support of maintaining the broader security posture of the organization and its customers.

• Support DoD engineering and cybersecurity requirements including design, authoring, and review of engineering diagrams, system documentation, and cybersecurity artifact production.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other related STEM discipline is preferred; an additional six (6) years of related work experience may be acceptable in leu of degree

• Current Security+ CE certification or higher-level security certifications such as: CISSP, or GIAC

• A networking or security networking certificate that includes cloud-based technologies (Ex. F5 Certified Solution Expert, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Security Engineer Certification, etc.)

• 3 years’ experience managing cloud-based security stacks with cloud native, IaaS, and commercial components and tools

• 2 years’ experience in tandem with Big-IP Virtual Edition (VE) modules Local Traffic Manager (LTM), DNS, Access Policy Manager (APM), Advanced WAF (AWAF)

• 2 years’ experience in tandem with Layer 7 application delivery, load balancing patterns, SSL offloading, identity federation (e.g., SAML), IPSEC VPN on Big-IP devices or a comparable technology (Ex. Nginx, HAProxy, NetScaler).

• Travel 25% mainly Conus

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Splunk, Juniper, Cisco Firepower a plus

Security Clearance Requirements:

• Must possess an active Secret Clearance.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

• Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

• Often positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet.

• Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

The projected compensation range for this position is $90,200-$149,600. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
