You aren't here to shadow; you are here to build, owning a mission-critical project that directly impacts our product roadmap. By collaborating in an agile pair-programming environment, you will transform complex theoretical concepts into high-performance code that powers some of the world’s largest enterprises.</p> <h4>WHAT YOU'LL DO</h4> <ul> <li><strong>Architect and Implement Core Features:</strong> Own the end-to-end development of a technical project—from design to deployment—to enhance system reliability, performance, or scalability.</li> <li><strong>Optimize High-Performance Code:</strong> Write and refine production-level C++ code to solve bottlenecks within complex distributed systems or flash-management layers.</li> <li><strong>Collaborate and Peer Review:</strong> Partner with a fellow intern and senior mentors to conduct rigorous code reviews, ensuring all contributions meet our high standards for security and efficiency.</li> <li><strong>Drive Data-Informed Iteration:</strong> Test and validate your solutions using Python or Go-based automation frameworks to ensure your project delivers measurable improvements to the Pure ecosystem.</li> </ul> <h4>WHAT YOU BRING</h4> <ul> <li><strong>Technical Foundation:</strong>&nbsp;C++ and a comprehensive grasp of Computer Science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and systems programming.</li> <li><strong>Academic Progression:</strong> Current enrollment in a BS, MS, or PhD program in Computer Science or a related technical field, with a graduation date scheduled for 2027 and later.&nbsp;</li> <li><strong>Execution and Ownership:</strong> The ability to navigate ambiguous technical problems and deliver high-quality, documented results within a 12-week project lifecycle.</li> <li><strong>Collaborative Mindset:</strong> Effective communication skills and the desire to solve problems within a transparent, team-oriented environment.</li> <li><strong>Location:</strong> We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to
