JOB DESCRIPTION:

Essential Functions:

• Provides network systems architecture, administration, installation, problem isolation and resolution within a global business environment
• Administration of the corporate Palo Alto Firewalls
• Administration of the Cisco LAN environment for the complete corporate environment in the Americas region
• Architecture and administration of the network node monitoring subsystem
• Architecture and administration of the wireless LAN environment
• Coordination with other teams as needed to resolve technical issues
• Ensure Corporate/Divisional standards and processes are followed and adhered to as required for the various systems being supported
• Assist in performing security, virus and IDS/IPS tasks as necessary per corporate standards/guidelines
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of IT procedures, system configuration standards, maintenance, and upgrades
• Review procedures/processes and make recommendations to enhance IT support of various facilities. Promote and participate on process improvement teams utilizing Agile tools and methodologies.
• Monitor competitive IT landscapes to identify industry and technology trends, and develop strategies to introduce new or complementary products or technologies in areas of responsibility
• Provide support for the corporate cloud network infrastructure.
• Provide 24/7 on-call support and Participate in IT Change Control reviews.

Skills:

• Minimum of 3 years hands-on working experience with Palo Alto firewalls in an enterprise environment
• Advanced knowledge of Cisco LAN/WAN network devices
• Advanced knowledge of switching and routing protocols in WAN and LAN environments
• Experience with Cisco wireless technologies
• Proved experience with network security concepts
• Experience with Cisco DNA center is a plus
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage and resolve conflict
• Demonstrated technical/analytical skills when resolving IT related issues in support of business needs
• Ability to think strategically
• Proven growth in career within the IT environment
• Ability to work in a customer/business-focused, team-based matrix organization and to manage time, multiple priorities and projects is essential
• Multi-cultural awareness (Europe, North America, Brazil, etc.) desired

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering or other related technology

Experience:

• Cisco CCNP certification is strongly desired
• Palo Alto PCNSE certification is strongly desired
• 5+ years administering medium to large network environments, configuring, administering, managing and troubleshooting data center technologies and protocols
• Experience in a leadership/project manager role a plus
